Swim suit waist was enormous; didn't stay up January 26, 2010

I bought this outfit for my toddler son for a January vacation. I purchased it for the swim trunks since I didn't think the shirt/top would be all that useful (I prefer something that would block the sun from his arms, and a hat works better than this hood anyway). Unfortunately, I noticed right away that the swim trunks seemed to have a very large waistline, with no string or ties to make the waistline more snug. I put my son into the trunks anyway, and before he reached the end of the walkway to the beach, the trunks were down at his ankles (even worn over a regular diaper). We had to go out to a store and buy him new swim trunks to replace these, which sadly went right into the trash. My son is a little on the slender side, but not extremely so; the truth is, he would have needed to have been spherical for these swim trunks to stay up.
